Dr. Garth Dicker MBBS (Melb) BMedSci, PhD
Dr. Dicker has over twenty years of experience working in the fields of cosmetic
medicine, laser medicine and vein treatments. He also has extensive background in
research with undergraduate (BMedSci) and post graduate (PhD) degrees. Dr. Dicker
was also one of the first doctors to take up laser treatments in Australia, in 1986,
beginning with copper vapour laser technology in the treatment of birthmarks.
Dr. Dicker regularly updates with new techniques and procedures from abroad ensuring
that the Geelong Cosmetic and Laser Medical Centre is able to provide patients with
the very latest technology.
Dr. Dicker has fellowship status with the American Society of Lasers in Medicine
and Surgery (ASLMS). Since 1991, he has been a full member of the American Society
of Phlebology (ACP). Dr Dicker is also a longstanding member of the Australian and
New Zealand Society of Phlebology and a member of the Australasian Academy of Anti-Ageing
Medicine
Dr. MacDonald MB BS (Monash)
With an abundance of experience in cosmetic and laser medicine, Dr. MacDonald has
been the Director of clinical services at the Cosmetic and Laser Medical Centre
in Melbourne since 2003
Dr MacDonald has a specialized interest in treating pigmentation and scarring using
fractional laser technologies.
Dr. Patrick Lyons MB BS (Melb) FRACS
A vascular specialist, Dr. Patrick Lyons has held numerous hospital appointments
including as the head of vascular surgery at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
Dr. Lyons focuses especially on treating venous diseases such as varicose vein disorders.
He has extensive experience in duplex ultrasound scanning techniques for the assessment
of venous disease. Dr Lyons is an expert in all of the vein treatment technologies
such as surgery, laser, radiofrequency and injection techniques (sclerotherapy).
Dr. Barbra Ward
Dr Barbra Ward has a special interest in Phlebology and Leg Vein Disorders and is
an Associate member of the Australasian College of Phlebology.
Dr Ward also offers
arrange of cosmetic treatments including wrinkle injections and dermal fillers.
Dr Ward studied at Monash University completing her MBBS degree before undertaking
specialist training in General Practice and becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australian
College of General Practice
Katy Wallace
Katy Wallace is a cosmetic nurse who specializes in cosmetic treatments that do
not involve surgery. These include wrinkle injections, lip enhancement, mid face
volumisation and dermal fillers. Katy has had extensive overseas experience both
training and working especially in the latest European techniques. In Australia
Katy has worked with leading dermatologists, plastic surgeons and cosmetic physicians
and has a wealth of knowledge with over 13 years experience in cosmetic medicine.
Katy is experienced in building up relationships with patients by listening to all
of their concerns and offering them personalized advice on treatment options.
