A square jaw is caused by a bulky muscle mass lying over the angle of the jaw. This is often perceived as being a masculine feature by women. It is often found amongst those of Asian descent especially in races such as Koreans.

Popular treatments today include the use of a muscle relaxant to diminish the mass of the muscle and hence get rid of the squareness of the jaw. This helps to create a rounder lower face. The treatment takes up to six months comprising several treatments over this period.

For those who are in the habit of grinding their teeth or suffer from bruxism, a similar treatment of the jaw muscles is particularly beneficial.

Treating the jaw muscles typically involves 20 to 25 units of the product on each side of the face. No downtime is involved and there are virtually no side effects though some patients can experience a small difficulty when it comes to chewing hard foods such as steak for a few weeks.
