Dermal Therapy Treatments refer to minimally invasive, advanced mechanical, topical and light based skin treatments. Dermal treatments are performed by experienced Dermal Clinicians who have a Bachelor of Health Science degree specialising in skin and laser treatments.
Dermal Therapy Treatments include:
Dermapen is an advanced skin needling technique that involves the use of a sterile single use pen-like device that uses very fine micro needles to penetrate the skin at a superficial but targeted depth. The treatment can assist with conditions such as scarring, stretchmarks, fine lines, wrinkles, facial rejuvenation and enlarged pores.
Organic Peels are skin peels based on organic compounds such as lactic, salicylic, pyruvic and ascorbic acids. The type and strength of the peel is customised depending on your skin type and particular skin concerns. Organic peels can range from Micropeels to provide a light peel to rejuvenate and regenerate the skin to Procedure Peels which can target the deeper layers of the skin.
Prescription Peels are medically formulated preparations such as Vitamin A peels, and are used to treat specific skin conditions such as acne or photodamage.
Microdermabrasion involves treating the skin with specially manufactured crystals that are delivered at high velocity onto the skins surface. This exfoliates (removes) dead skin cells and promotes new skin cells and creates a clear, glowing and youthful skin.
A Power Peel is a combination treatment that combines the benefits of a Microdermabrasion treatment with the benefits of an Organic Peel.
Laser Toning involves a course of treatments delivering laser energy from a REVLITE laser. The REVLITE is a non-ablative laser that stimulates collagen growth and has the benefit of no downtime and minimal discomfort. Laser toning can be used on all skin types and can be used to improve texture in wrinkled and sun damaged skin, improve acne scars, decrease pore size and even skin tone.
A Laser Peel is a combination treatment that combines the benefits of a Power Peel (Microdermabrasion and Organic Peel) and Laser Toning. Laser Peels provide faster results than Laser Toning alone.
Photorejuvenation refers to using a light source (photo) to make the skin look and feel younger (rejuvenate). Broad band light is used to target multiple structures in the skin at the same time. Non-invasive, short bursts of light can simultaneously target surface layers of the skin to shed old skin cells, deeper layers to stimulate collagen, blood vessels to reduce redness and pigment cells to even out skin colour. Photorejuvenation is very popular as the entire face can be rapidly treated and it is also gentle enough to treat delicate areas such as the neck and chest.
